A new 'humorous arcade-style' game was confirm by US publisher Acclaim today, who are currently in the process of building hype ahead of their E3 showing commencing tomorrow. 'Emergency Mayhem' is the new title in question, and is currently being created by the firm's Cheltenham studio on all major consoles for an early 2005 launch.

Emergency Mayhem, as the title so-unsubtly implies, places the player in charge of various rag-tag groupings of emergency service teams, inserting the player in all kinds of perilous, frantic and fraught situations. "Emergency Mayhem is a fun and truly original arcade game that stands apart from the crowd and breaks the mould," enthused Acclaim studio head Barry Jafrato. "Filled with more than 70 mini-games and hours of party-style modes of play, Emergency Mayhem will appeal to consumers of all ages."

A number of vehicles, characters, skills and situations is promised, along with too.
