E3 2004: GTA San Andreas plot clues

Alongside the first official images from the latest in the Grand Theft Auto series comes word on the plotline to San Andreas, which will be heading to the PS2 this October. Rather than re-wording the clearly long-pondered PR wordings, I'll simply paste them here for you to digest:
Five years ago Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas...a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs and corruption. Where filmstars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers.
Now, it's the early 90s. Carl's got to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster.
On his return to the neighbourhood, a couple of corrupt cops frame him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.
Liberty City. Vice City. Now San Andreas, a new chapter in the legendary series. Grand Theft Auto returns to the PlayStation 2 this October.
So there we have it. As expected an early nineties setting will feature, and a plot even grittier than the last two incarnations - infused with plenty of urban 'gangsta' ambience. More soon, we hope.

dude this game is gonna kick some serious ass not only can you get your own posse,you can swim and the map is ten time bigger than vice city i played it for a few minutes i got some conections with a guy that works for rockstar it is awesome

GTA:SA will come out for the XBOX but months after the PS2. October 2004

So far I have only seen a rough idea of what this new version of grand theft auto is going to look like and so far it looks great. The only thing that's puzzling me the most and is driving me crazy is that I want to find out if that was Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto 3. I don't know if in the 80's tommy just moved to Liberty City in the present day or if they were just two completley different guys. And thanks for making these great games that i play every day in my boxers.

i heard that the diaolouge mite suck in GTA san andreas. Shouldnt the diolagoue b more "gangsta" instead of sayin "homie" most of the time. im not sayin thats bad but thats not all they said in the early 90s. It wouldnt capture the realism of the early 90s in the hood speech.
