Word from the United States today informs us that Phantom console creator Infinium Labs has appointed ex-Sony 'media software' head Andrew Schneider; who will assume the role of senior vice president of marketing. Schneider was previously stationed at Sony Pictures Digital, and also dabbled in broadband content making him ideal for Infinium's 'broadband only' console.
The new marketing head's primary responsibility will be to promote the upcoming Phantom console, and he sounds unsurprisingly enthusiastic about the job in hand: "The Phantom Gaming Service provides ease-of-use and convenience in delivering quality games straight to customers, any time, day or night, on demand," he commented. "I'm very excited to be joining such a talented team at the forefront of a major trend in broadband content distribution."
"We are sharpening our marketing focus as we get closer to launch, and Andrew's innovative ideas and extensive entertainment experience will be instrumental in bringing the Phantom Gaming Service to consumers on November 18th," commented Kevin Bachus, president of Infinium Labs. "Andrew has a proven track record in delivering marketing and business development results, and he understands how to captivate our customers and our partners."
