More Nintendo DS info released

With the launch of its new handheld console just months away in the US and Japan, (Europe has to wait until Q1 next year) Nintendo have revealed some more details about the DS. The first concerning the choice name for the handheld. As put in today's press release, "Nintendo DS, originally chosen as the code name, has been selected as the official product name. The Nintendo DS name evokes the idea of a portable system with dual screens, providing the rationale for the final name."

Along with the final name Nintendo have also released pictures of what the console you will be able to buy at the shops will look like. Differing from the first guise as seen at this year's E3 show the newer design looks a good bit sleeker and slimmer then it did before. Rather then the cheap looking brick from before Nintendo are presenting us with something a lot more sexy and refined that also looks like it will be able to come closer to competing with the undeniably gorgeous PSP. The buttons have gotten a slight size increase, and the case now has a little slot for storing the handhelds innovative stylus. Additionally, sound now comes out of the speakers in stereo.

It doesn`t look better or worser than before. because the old DS did look sleeker. Atleast the screens on the old design didn`t look look like they we`re constantly figthing each other for show space. But, I`ve got to admit the new DS looks futuristic & More adult friendly.

Nintendo corrected their mistake abou the design, and now there's nothing that can stop it from winning PSP. Now it looks sleeker, maybe even sleeker then PSP. How can Sony hope to win Nintendo with it, I sopose they think they are so cool and good and everything. They haven't done anything new,a Game Boy Advance, just more powerful and with some unnesesery gadgets.

The DS will by far surpase the quality of the PSP.The fact that the DS has much better battery life , and will be out before christmass shopping nov.21.alone will make it be able to crush the PSP.The PSP might stand a good fight they also started selling the PSP before christmass,but however they arenot. If they had any brain they would have it out before holiday season beacuse that is when much of the sale happens.Also there is nothing that will cover the (protect the screen),unlike nintendos flip(with the touch screen which is amazing). Also the DS will be sold for about half less than the PSP at only $150

The PSP will beat Nintendo DS due to the price drop and the DS is not meant to be the successor to the GBA SP because Nintendo said they were going to make another GBA which will be the successor to the GBA SP
The DS is going kill the PSP because the PSP battery life is only 4-6 hours and the DS battery life is 10-12 hours(same as the SP).Plus it got way more game(ds and gba) then the PSP. Only problem with the DS is the botten layout.The A botten is on the right, the B botten is on the bottom, the Y botten is on the left and the X botten is on top. Hope nintendo fix it before it come out.

The graphics on the DS is 75% N64 and 25% dreamcast.The PSP is a litter under playstation 2 and higher than dreancast. Nintendo just annouced online for animal crossing, mario kart, Madden, Tiger woods, Need for speed underground, Asphalt gt racing, Zelda, and Pokemon.With pokemon online nintendo is unstopable.
I think the online for the DS is free but if it not it will be under 15 dollars

Sony might be winning the consoule wars but they not going to win handhelds.Nintendo has two handheld coming out.
P.S. Mario, Zelda, Metriod, Pokemon are the best selling games out and they are perfect online games.

You can buy an item which alows you to play movies and music on the DS, just like the PSP. So what has the PSP got that the DS doesn't? A bigger screen and better graphics? Is that it? DS has all the features of PSP and more!

The DS sucks its never going 2 go far! with the 2 screens then IT SUCKS! The PSP battery life is less but no 1 cares its still the BEST! :-)
DS is sooooooooo cheap, it does not have THE QUALITY, but... PSP does. therefore, DS can NEVER beat PSP in infinite years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
