Black Label Games Formed
Not by Carling, of course.
Whilst I thought that Black Label was a brand of lager, it actually turns out to be a brand-new, and rather ambitious, game development studio – formed by Vivendi Universal.
The new studio will be focussing on high-quality titles, designed to appeal to a mature audience, and as such Black Label’s first games will include ‘The Thing’, The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, and Enclave – a third-person RPG for the Xbox.
"Black Label Games will target the rapidly growing audience for 'Teen-to-Mature-rated' games," said Ken Cron, CEO of Vivendi Universal Games. "Through Black Label, we will focus on delivering innovative, high-quality titles to satisfy the growing consumer appetite for increasingly sophisticated content."
