We finished it when we said we would (when it was done) and shipped that baby right on time to make its November launch date," read a euphoric statement on the official site, confirming - as you've probably guessed already - that 2 is gold.

This is significant news, as it means the final title is even as we speak being duplicated onto thousands - nay millions - of DVDs, though could be regarded as something of an anticlimax on this occasion, as Bungie had stated more than a week ago that they thought it was pretty much ready anyway.

"We now have versions (test samples) here in the office," the update continued. "In fact, one sharp and presumably jealous-eyed reader saw the following legend appear in his Live-linked MSN Instant Messenger window: 'Anm8erJB is now playing Halo 2 on Live.' Now that's a tease." A tease indeed, where's our 'review' copy? More soon.

    "We finished it when we said we would..." I don't think so. I remember hearing that the ellusive "Halo 2" was going to be released back in February, at one point in time... That's why everyone is so excited -- we've all being sitting at the edge of our seat for almost a YEAR for it to be released. And if you have the retail versions in the office, why don't you just release it?! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE halo, but if it was going to be such a long wait for Halo 2, then we shouldn't have known it was going to be released until three months ago... The suspense of waiting for halo 2 to release really hasn't made me too happy, I'm affraid to say.
