Microsoft were proudly singing 2 pre-order details from the rooftops today, as it emerged that Redmond have taken a ridiculous 1.5 million pre-orders of the game in the alone; which apparently means the game has higher first-day revenue than any blockbuster film ever - which is rather staggering. Many stores are opening at midnight stateside in order to begin selling the game from November 9th, and the Toys R Us in Times Square, New York, will sell the very first copy.

"Halo 2 is expected to be the biggest 24 hours for a game title in history," gushed Microsoft's Peter Moore, "and is projected to bring in more revenue than any day one box office blockbuster in the United States." The game will be released globally between the 9th and 11th of November, and will be celebrated by thousands of special events at numerous retailers.

The original Halo has now shifted an incredible five million copies on the Xbox, and Mac, and we imagine numero two is expected to enjoy similar success. I'll bet are looking pretty good value for money now in Microsoft's eyes... a shame the same can't be said of thus far...

Ofcourse its gonna make more than any box office blockbuster. 50 bux a pop multiplied by 1.5 million.

Halo is the best video game that has ever existed. From evrything I have read, seen, and heard, Halo 2 will be even better. I am planning on getting live connection for the sole perpous of shooting down people who I don't even know. none of my friends will play against me on Halo because it is an automatic loss. Even in a 3 on 1 battle, I still turn out triumphant. I have beaten Halo campain mode on legendary numerous of times. The biggest reason why I bought an xbox was so I could play Halo. I am looking forward to an even better gaming experience on Halo 2.
