Looking to capitalise on the now imminent Xbox Live-enabled arrival of Halo 2, Microsoft have announced a brand new package for the online gaming service, incorporating a copy of Bungie's opus, a headset and twelve-month's Live subscription - all for £59.99 - a saving of twenty quid over the individual items.

The new starter kit deal will launch on November 11th, like Halo 2 itself, and needless to say we're expecting rather large sales - given that the North American debut two days earlier will already be the largest gaming debut in history.

"Halo 2 is the most highly expected game this Christmas and this offer gives all gamers a great way to experience the best game on-line on Xbox Live," commented Microsoft's Richard Teversham. "It is a fantastic offer for gamers throughout Europe - the most talked-about Xbox game of 2004 and the best gaming experience available at the best value." More soon.
