Valve patch Half-Life 2
Fixed.
One of our own writers recently complained that Half-Life 2 induced motion sickness in him 'like no other game', and it appears other keen players have also been having a few 'issues' with the technical side of Valve's recently launched opus. The recurring problem, experienced by a surprisingly large number of gamers, involves a massive drop in frame-rate when turning or entering new areas. Apparently, sound problems are often encountered simultaneously too.
Thankfully, Valve have been quick to note the issues of the community, and have released a patch addressing the issue, which can be bagged via the Steam content delivery system. Eager players will now be able to enjoy the visual feast on offer still further, it would seem.
