New '24' game nears
Hit TV series spin-off
Despite no official word forthcoming still, the long-rumoured videogame based on the series 24 is apparently on the way, Sony having acquired the publishing rights from Fox and set their Cambridge studio to work on the officially licensed title - set amid the conspiratorial plottings of the anti-terrorist series. The developer has reportedly been working on the game for some time too, though Sony remain resolutely tight-lipped, denying everything.
24 would certainly make for an ace game, potentially, the subject matter of course already a stalwart of the industry, though it would certainly be interesting to see if the game's creators could mimic the 'real' -time aspect that made the series so stylistically unique. More news is hoped for on this officially at E3 this May, with the Official Playstation magazine hinting at a release toward the end of 2005; excitingly. Let's hope they can get Mr Sutherland in to voice-act; now that would be jolly, wouldn't it?
