Gizmondo gets its game on
Top games and top talent bolster handheld
Undaunted by its relative obscurity and the healthy sales of the bruisers in the portable market, the plucky Gizmondo got a major boost today with the announcement of a huge number of games that are in development for the handheld device. Featuring a mix of conversions and original IP, amongst the 89 games announced are this small selection of titles:

Along with all the games Gizmondo are also bigging up the number of notable industry veterans that they now have on board. Among these luminaries is Eric Peterson, formerly of Digital Anvil, Warthog and Origin, who now heads Gizmondo's global development operations. He's joined by Eric Roberts. No, not the sister of Hollywood star Julia, he's most famous for his work on the Wing Commander series. Now he's the Director of UK development.
Along with a few other industry notables, the conviction of these men in the potential of the Gizmondo will hopefully aid the handheld in becoming a serious player in the portable market which otherwise runs the risk of becoming a stale fanboi driven battle between two global giants.

Never knew Eric Roberts is a... woman :))
And I've no idea how this new handheld will be up to competing with PSP and DS.
Psh...not even close. The graphics on the thing stand no chance against the PSP's graphical spendor. I can't wait to see this thing and the company that made it crushed by Sony's power and awesomeness. :-)
It was a very well kept Hollywood secret ice :-)
Frankly speaking, I've been suspecting it for a long time, Sam :-D
