SCEE aren't wasting any time in spraying the expo with a wealth of game announcements. This particular shower is headed in the direction the Playstation 3.

Formula 1, under the firm grip of Studio Liverpool, takes the official game of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship to the next-generation. The unprecedented processing power of PS3 opens up a new world of possibilities for Formula 1 gaming. Groundbreaking advances in AI and physics calculation will result in the richest and deepest racing experience yet, while the level of detail and the visual quality far exceeds anything seen to date.

Heavenly Sword is being developed by Ninja Theory. Heavenly Sword is a stunningly beautiful martial arts drama set in a mythical time and place in the Far East. The game combines the intense action and visuals of the best martial arts action movies with a ground-breaking, free-style combat system allowing players to freely switch between multiple sword types and a wide range of weapons on-the-fly. With state-of-the-art technology and gameplay, Heavenly Sword takes players on a roller coaster of emotion and action that truly exploits the potential of gaming as the new artistic entertainment medium.

Killzone 2, which had the most impressive CGI sequence of the last couple of days, is under development in Amsterdam by Guerrilla. Killzone 2 is a military first person shooter that builds upon the graphical and gaming excellence seen on the PlayStation 2. A non-linear, intense cinematic gameplay experience that combines elements from multiple gaming genres, Killzone 2 thrusts players deeper into the conflict between the ISA and Helghast. Set in a rich and highly interactive gameworld, Killzone 2 utilises benchmark facial and character animation, advanced physics, destructible environments, amazing sound and special FX, immersing players in 'the most intense and warlike gameplay experience to date'. Combining on-foot and vehicle combat across air, land and sea, with both off-line play and a customisable on-line portion, Killzone 2 promises to revolutionise the first-person shooter for the next generation. These first few confirmations to the PS3 line-up are sure to be just the start of a deluge as Sony builds on the momentum they are enjoying from Monday night.
