Silicon Knights back Xbox 360
Too Human due from Microsoft
With the industry slowly beginning to recover from the excesses of E3 week, a sense of normality is slowly but surely begin to return. Of course, the biggest talking point of the week was by far and away the unveiling of three new next-generation consoles; two in detail. The Xbox 360 initially seemed to be stealing a lead, but Sony's unveiling of the simply monstrous Playstation 3 seemed to pin them back dramatically. Now, further lines are being drawn in the sand ahead of the looming console war, with some developers already beginning to choose their side. We've already seen Factor 5 defecting from the Xbox 360 to the PS3 (said developer pointing to the system's greater processing power), and now another top game creator are stating their intentions.

Silicon Knights are previously responsible for several second-party Nintendo titles (Eternal Darkness, anyone?), but having left the protective Ninty fold appear to be backing Microsoft's machine, initially at least. Too Human is in fact a trilogy, a long-time pet project at the studio, and the current plan is for Microsoft to publish all three titles on the Xbox 360. The first title is due out in 2006, and the developer is also known to be working on another next-generation project to be published by Sega. Details remain scant at present. More soon.
