EA have announced the games that will be shown at this week's event on the 360, and in so doing have also revealed the titles that will be accompanying the new console's debut in a couple of month's time. Most Wanted, 06: Road to FIFA World Cup, NBA Live 06, PGA Tour 06 and 06 will all been demonstrated at the event. Whilst these games will be available at the system's debut (scheduled for November and December in North America, and Japan), they're not exclusive. Indeed, all of the titles will also be released on current-generation platforms, so we're not even sure whether there will be anything special on-show to truly demonstrate the potential of Microsoft's new opus.

"It's a great moment for us to finally put this many launch titles into the hands of enthusiastic gamers for them to really feel what makes these next-generation videogames," beamed EA executive Gerhard Florin. "The visual richness and engaging gameplay are just two of the many reasons that gamers all over the world have something to look forward to this autumn with the Xbox 360 launch."

Hopefully we'll hear word from X05 about how truly next-generation these releases are, as well as new product announcements and information from EA on their future plans for the new console. Watch this space, then.
