Suda Goichi, creator of Killer 7, is hard at work on a brand new title, it this week emerges. The title will be called Kurayami in Japan, which means 'Darkness' in Japanese, we're told. Goichi will be developing the new game with Grasshopper and the game is said to begin with the player in a strange village, equipped with a torch. The aim of the game, basically, is then to escape from the village, solve puzzles, kill bad people et al.

Edge magazine, as noted by Eurogamer.net, are carrying a wee piece on Goichi's efforts in their latest issue, including some rather unusual looking concept art. In the magazine, the developer's interest in the work of Franz Kafka is noted, and it also seems plausible that Haruki Murakami's novels may also be a point of reference, given the inspiration the celebrated Japanese writer also draws from Kafka.

As well as Killer 7, Goichi is the brains behind Contact on the DS, another original and unconventional outing. We look forward to seeing more on this title soon.
