A series of new titles for the Nintendo Wii and the DS handheld have been announced by Marvelous Interactive, who you might better know as Rising Star Games (which they effectively own). The first new game is Harvest Moon for the Wii, which will see players looking after the land, the plants, the animals, all via the unique remote controller.

Another Wii title on the cards is called Heroes, and could be a far less gentile outing... given that its set to star one of the characters from Killer 7. Suda 51 and Grasshopper are set to develop this one. Returning to the fats of the land for a moment, we learn that a new Harvest Moon is also being planned for the DS by Marvelous, and this time you'll apparently be building your own island and interacting with other characters in 3D. Which is nice.

A second DS title will be Rune Factory, once again based on Harvest Moon, but this time propelling us firmly into the realm of RPGs - monsters and dungeons abound. A second RPG of the real-time tactical variety has also been announced, Luminous Arc also set to use the WiFi multiplayer functionality. And that, as they say, is that.
