Major new content hits Live
Demos, trailers and more besides
With the promotional Xbox Live 'Gold' period continuing for European gamers this week, a number of fairly significant new demos have just hit the Xbox Live Marketplace. F.E.A.R. and Fuzion Frenzy 2 are the demo titles in question, and you can give them a whirl now, absolutely free (regardless of whether you're enjoying the trial Gold membership or not).
The Fuzion Frenzy 2 demo includes three of the game's over forty mini-games to sample, and is a 293 MB download. F.E.A.R. meanwhile weighs in at a heftier 542 MB and we're not quite sure what proportion of the full title VU and Microsoft are giving us to try out. As part of Live's continued coverage of the Tokyo Game Show, not to mention the forthcoming X06 showcase in Barcelona, trailers for Forza 2, Portal, Import Tuner Challenge, Virtua Tennis 3, Eragon, Need For Speed Carbon, Battlestations Midway and The Darkness are also there to be had.
There's also a few other videos you've probably already heard about on there, as well picture packs for tiles Mass Effect and Forza 2 - some of which will set you back a few Microsoft Points, its worth noting.
In related news, we're told by Microsoft today that a high-definition trailer for Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey will be available on the Marketplace from the 27th of September (tomorrow, if you're reading this today, confusingly). With the end of the 'Bring it Home' trial approaching on the 29th, many more goodies could also be hitting Live over the coming couple of days. More as we get it.
