Revealed - Star Wars: Force Unleashed

For PS3 and Xbox 360 it is, yes

Pounding out of the gaming kennel like an excitable labrador puppy, LucasArts' publisher Activision have revealed that a new Star Wars game is on the way... much to the surprise of, well, no one, the game is heading for the new generation of game consoles. That's the PS3 and the Xbox 360, in case you live in a cave somewhere.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will take place between episodes three and four of the movie series, having been exposed by US mag Game Informer in recent days. As Darth Vader's young apprentice, you'll be able to watch the rise of the original bad man, as you're tasked with helping the Dark Side's progress in the universe, seeking to destroy the very last Jedi.

Nothing else is known of the game, neither genre nor release date, but we expect Activision to get over excited and let us know more soon, bless them. We don't even know who the developer is, though online chatter points to some link between this game and footage shown behind closed doors at last year's E3.
