The base for the game looks great but I must agree that it´s somewhat strange that the game is not real time. I wonder if that is not going to ruin it all.
Gladius sounds like an intersting game with lots of fighting and war, but is there a lot of decision making and strategy involved in the game as there is in some of the other legendary video games? If the whole game was just battle, i doubt any one would play it for the thirty-five hours it takes to beat. It needs to have challenges and different situations for it to hold interest.
I have had the intense pleasure of sampling this game on an Official Xbox Magazine demo disc and I tell you it is grand! Every aspect of the game appears to be intriguing, gorgeous, and enormously entertaining. Every gladiator you aquire on your journeys (probably up to 12 or something exceedingly insane) has the level up capacity of an RPG character. This adds an unbelievable amount of depth and intricacy to the game. I am excited. You should be too if you enjoy innovative RPG titles. Lucasarts knows how to develop games. Period.
I played Knight of the old Republic last week. Great graphics and storyline but the pu**y a*s turn based/dice roll fight system ruined it all. With Gladius I was looing forward to a real-time Melee/maximus fighting experience. Too bad.
Ill give the game a 10/10 right now, i cant with for it!

Strange that it aint real time but so much more the welcome tha such a hyped title will use such partisan gameplay mechanics.

I have this game and with the exception of the turn based combat (longer games) this is one of the best ever. i didn't like final fantasy for that reason, but find that gladius is not like it. I let my friend borrow it now I can't get it back. Keep up the good work

this sounds like it could be cool, maybe a fight against the ff series. i wonder will it have more than one player and online capibilities. how coll could that be.
