the only bad thing bout this game is that it is so slow

Ah... brings back memories of the original C&C over a null modem cable... jumpers for goal posts.

Great new visuals, but why oh why do they persist in that stupid-beyond-belief waste of the right mouse button?
Everyone and their dog prefers the Blizzard take on an RTS control scheme, EA Pacific should swallow their pride and copy it.

good graphics.....but omfg the multiplayer is laggy as hell and wtf is with the chinese havin the NUKE!!! and all the goood tanks??? THE U.S would dominate china any day in modern time....why do they get a dum laser that cant even destroy a nuke silo in one attack???????

its the best CNC game so far i think, it runs on my computer smoothly, so who ever says it lags, it is your computer Spec not the game

why oh why do i always seem to get over powerd by other players when playing online, i just cant seem to get enough cash to build up my army b4 i am over run by the opposition, i have tried many times in many different ways to build up my army but low and behold i loose every time, have we got people out there with a cheat to give them more money at game startup. ??????
one bad thing there is no ships/boats no water battles one of the best things about the game
what if i only had a 733 mhz pentium 3 processor but i have a 512 mb ram and a 32 mb videocard and all other requirements, will it be compatible?

The only improvement EA could possibly make to this game is having more civilisations e.g. Britain, Germany, Japan.

i like generals its amazing espeacialy online ive won 2 and lost 8 but im just getting the hang of it, the reason i keep losing is coz im always gla coz they dont need power but the problem is u cant spy on where your enemies are any one got any tips for me?

Got to agree with Sam on this, Generals has superceded Warcraft III as the LAN game of choice in my flat. As for China being overpowered, I too thought this initially, but am slowly coming round to US superiority....consider the advantages.
1. Aurora Bombers. These can't be targeted before they've released their payload. If you're prepared to lose them, the enemy can't stop you from taking out any building of your choice. If you can achieve economic superiority, the cost is manageable, and you've nullified enemy superweapons.
2. Spy drones. The USA is really difficult to surprise with stealth units, and has unrestricted viewing of the whole map by midgame, minus the occasional loss of one of the drones.
3. Supply Drops. The USA has a building which supplies money, as opposed to China's hackers, which are slow to produce and easy to kill unless they're spread around..and most players dont do that.
Granted, the nuke is better than the particle cannon, but you shouldnt be using it to target enemy superweapons, but rather clusters of troops or power stations, or massed defenses. Plus, the US has the fuel bomb and tankbusters, two very useable upgrades. The US, played right, is very capable of beating China.

zero hour is funny. i tried the general challenge, and the comments of the enemy were funny at first, but soon i got fed up with the 'soon we will...' -Kwai, "...the sun"-Tao, and dr. thrax's maniacal laffs. gameplay is good, but i dont have the chance to maximize the video fx (have to resort to 'medium', 800x600) like i can in wc3. even with my 2ghz comp, 512 ram and gforce 4 card

The game (c&c) is expensive in using the memory. But it is a great game the problem again is, their are only 3 kinds of country fighting. I hope by the next time I buy games that is related to c&c genarals it would be more good and challenging.

you know I've never lost a game on command and conqure generals. All I do is set up gun implacements around my base and create about 100 men. This takes a long time, but you can't loose. make sure you make about 10 machine gun tanks to guard your place incase anything big attacks.
If you are controling the GLA do the same trick shown above, exept to make the game more fun make an extra 100 suicide foot bombers to attack the enemies base.
If you don't want to spend time making so many men, try making an airport; use the planes to scout out the entire area for that level. Then start attacking the bunkers along with the buildings that make tanks and any markets or money making buildings that only the enemy can use. When the enemy is crippled to making their army stronger you can dominate!
by the way I also have not found any coads for command and conqure:generals but I do have coads for command and conqure,covert operations;red alert;red alert aftermath;red alert counter strikeand many coads for renegade

I've used the game builder in Empire earth and its easy
Bought a factory version and didn't find ant directions in the manual for the WB tool on the disk...this sucks any ideas
