If you have the time, this could still be a pretty good game for you. Just depends what you're looking for really. That said, Galaxy is looking stunning *sigh*!

Well, seems everyone's been hammering on SPM. I really can't understand why though, the design is the best in any mario game I've ever seen, mixing cool with oldschool.
I for one really don't care much about the platforming aspect, as it's hardly challenging. The REAL aspect is the exploring, the puzzling and the flipping that makes this game awesome. The story features some of the most memorable characters you'll ever find (dimentio is pure awesome), packed with Nintendo's finest dialogues and a true festival for the explorer.
I've seen people complain about the story and the design and the music. I for one can not believe anyone could seriously dislike those iron hard chunks of awesome. The music is most certainly memorable, a little goofy and almost as charming as the characters themselves.
This game IS without a doubt one of the best games available for Wii. I personally enjoyed it even more than Galaxy. It has a great script, excellent characters, beautiful artistic design, creative level design, wonderful music and heaps of replay value. There are two(!) pits of 100 trials, each incredibly hard, there's tons of trading cards to collect, there's plenty of recipes to unlock, fun minigames for highscores, lots of sidequests, and there's the 100 Sammer Guys challenge (amusing, but Sammer gets boring after a while I have to admit.)

this is the worst review i have ever read. ive never even heard of this site before today. i know im a bit late but dont let this shoddy review stop you from getting this game. it is great. especially if you've never played a paper mario game before. not as good as galaxy of course but its still an amazing wii title......among few even three years after its release.
