Nice one Muncher. I'm going to use an anagram search engine next time I'm stuck for a comment too.

I think you are way off on the how "unique" you think your characters look as compared to your fellow in game partners ....
EVERYONE LOOKS THE SAME ... THERE IS NO UNIQUESS in any capacity of the word ...
This game is lame and empty and offers very little compared to all the other mmos out there ...
The only thing it offers is that it is a SciFi game. There are vert few sci fi games around.

Yes everyone looks the same, thats part of being a military thing.
Though I fully agree that the unique-ness of skills and equipment in general leaves a lot to be desired, but I think this is okay when you group people together into a squad.

How can you say everyone looks the same? Sure there are same helmets and same armor in the game, but I have yet to find anyone who looks like my character or even wearing the same chestpiece as my character. And you forgot the coloring that you can do in the game on every piece of armor. So you are wrong on the account of everyone looking the same. I believe you will eventually have clans with same colors and same gear so that will become recognizing factor.
Game is far from lame, this game is brand new and between closed beta and retail they have made huge improvements to it. There are Mechs and Personal Armored Units forthcoming for players to own and drive around in, as well as raid content planned for first big content patch in January.
If you want to compare this game to wow, they both have exact same start. WOW had 1 raid(onyxia) when it was released PVP was an after thought tacked on and classes were unbalanced from the start. If you played wow at launch you would recall warrior strike that crashed numerous servers, or how their servers went down every day for 2 months straight.
I do hope that RGTR takes off as a game because I am tired of elves and dorfs running around with static combat. Granted, that static combat is what allowes MMORPGs like WOW to have complicated raiding bosses, but sometimes I just want to blast some npc in the face with a fire-based shotgun and watch it burn...

While TR may have its bugs (no game is without bugs however), it is still a refreshing approach to MMO's and, hopefully, will open the doors to developers pushing the bar in future MMO's.
This is both a "kill everything on the screen" game and a "thinking" game, which broadens your audience base by quite a bit. I think they did a fantastic job with the game and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes as they fix bugs and add expansions.

The reviewer talks about the 48 faces, and the various other things you can play with at character creation, spending all kinds of time doing so and does not mention that after a half hour in the game you may never see any of it again. That is unless you choose to go through the game without 1/5 of your armor (Your helmet, which cannot be hidden at this time.)
This game is sweet I couldn't stop playing for the first week of having it. I usually don't like sci-fi games but Tabula Rasa is a major exception.

I loaded up the game last night and played for a few hours, luckily I was given the game. I have been a WoW player, and Diablo II player for a long time. I also love sci-fi too. The game is OK, it cannot (unfortunately) compare to WoW though. The content just isnt there. The graphics are ok, but not good, the sound effects are ok, but not good. The interaction with NPC's is mediocre. The questing system is horrible, boring fedex style quests with little gripping content. The combat system is boring as well, very little you can do other than set your stats and weapons and then bang away with them. The best thing I saw in game was the quality of the players, very polite and nice (unlike the average WoW player). I have a month's free play with the game I was given, I will probably finish out the month then uninstall it...just didn't grab me.

Is nice, I like!
Tabula Rasa is also an anagram of "a brutal aas"
