I bought this game last tuesday, First time player of PES and converted from the fifa series and have gotta say I like it alot, the game definately doesnt disapoint though i hate yet to play it online since the two times I tried there diddnt seem to be anyone online .(probbably playing halo2 or something)
One thing I do wish it had was a more in depth player match system for example setting pro's against pro's and the noobs (like me) against other newbs, I mean, as fun as it is to play against another person, its hardly fun if the game ends up being the equivilent of real madrid Vs Cambridge United.
You're right Alex - PES online is certainly not without its faults.

Ahhh.....I love this game but its ruining my life. I've got blisters on my thumbs. I've spent many weeks wages on new controllers coz i've smashed them in anger after missing game winning sitters. I've driven myself isane changing all the names back using the friggin' annoying menu system (surely just doing this deserevs a PES reward!). I see Pro Evo when I close my eyes at night, I scream out "OFFSIDE SIR!" in my sleep and i've almost caused a break-up with my fiance over my domination of the television.......but all this fades into insignificance when I smash in an unbelieveable 30 yard screamer and proceed to back-flip across the living room a la Robbie Keane, scaring the living crap outta my cats.

being a freind of the legendry writer of this review we have discussed many a tap in, perfectly waited chip, carfully placed drive from around box, exquisit freekick or absolute bosh "av it" from miles out, havin played the ps2 version till the xbox version appeared, and now havin accumalated enough points 2 be ranked in top 200 on xbox live i feel i can say that this is not only the best game of the year but quite definately the game of all time, i'll leave u wiv one the best bits bout new pro evo, instead of just lookin at the tele wiv a scowl when u get raked down by a noob in the opposit jersey like in the other versions, now u can abuse the ref wiv "ref that wasn't a tackle, that was assault" brilliant
Pro is the best football game out for the playstation 2 I think the bad thing is the grapics the boots are good but some of the players faces are crab. The best team I think is west london blues who's real name is Chelsea

PRO EVO4 is the best game on the playstaion 2 it angers me wen i hear people prefer fifa than pro evo anyway i have looked every where and i cant seem to find the real players name and i have done the teams and the stadiums and the leagues but not the player some1 plz help
Pro Evolution Soccer is excellent ont the x-box the only sownside is the pad and the teams that havnt been updated
ive played fifa since the 2000 series and just got onto PES4, all i can say is WOW, what have i been missin all these years,even the online IP 2 IP is great, lag comes and rears its ugly head not so often as fifa in a word ""brilliant"". Ps the is a download patch 600mb that fixes all kits,names,and almost everything to make it even betterlooking than fifa 2005 .

you took the words out of my mouth dude...been 3 months now and i've blisters on blisters on the thumbs! like the review, p.s. got the full real player line up saved on my file....makes it that lil bit nicer but come on konami, sort the licensing job out.

pes 4 is the best soccer game that i haved played its very realstic i haved played that game many times and i still liked i woud never trade it for anything :P
