Sims fans, what are your thoughts on this new story-based approach: are you happy to move in this narrative led direction, or would you prefer more of the 'sandbox' style gameplay The Sims pioneered?

I think that you should be able to play the sims online with out having to down load you should just be able to look it up and play

sims 2 much better!! we play the sims because of its depth and freedom to control thier life,sims life stories is a step backwards in this respect

Sims 2 life stories sucks! I've been playing these Sims games for years so now I pay $40 but these "life stories" and I only have 10 hours of playing time between Riley and Vince. Not worth the money! It was fun while the story unfolded but once it ended there is nothing new about the game. So I paid about $4 an hour to play something new when I could have just stuck with SIMS 2 and played the same thing. I'm pissed and want my money back!
riley is stuck on a goal with the dylan guy where he keeps coming over to her house and just plays darts and kicks the flamingo over and over again all day. the goal has a picture of the dylan kincaid guy and a 4 leaf clover and I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES TO ACHIEVE THIS GOALL!!
It totally SUCKS I WANT MY money back.... I was under the impression on freeplay YOU get to set goals to meet as the life unfolds but basically it is a idiot's sims 2 version. What the heck? You only get two "life stories" to play...... WHAT a RIP off I am very upset I will never buy any of the life stories series again.

i wish this game was on ps2 or xbox. i love the pc game, but id rather have it on ps2 cause my sister and i play sims 2 all the time, and we love it, but we want something new. and its only me playing when its on the computer and not as much fun. i wish itd be on ps2 id buy it and even if it was on xbox, id go out and buy an xbox just to be able to play sims life stories....
I have a problem with vince and his story.I'am stuck on the part where he is suppost to invite over alexa and naomi.The come over,but the goal icon never changes.In th middle of their visit they start to slow down and by the end,they are stuck....and I have to restart the sims stories.Can anyone please help me!?

I don't think Riley & Vince age. I've noticed that with my Sims 2. And I think they only progress in, for example, being pregnant once certain goals have been accomplished. Haha.
i have and ABSOLUTLEY LOVE THIS GAME but i am so P.O.ED because my computer sucks and has a virus and the cd rom system isn't working, so i can't play adn all i want to do is play sims or at least the sims demo or something!!!:(

I luv the sims life stories. the set-up is GREAT and the graphics r good, but i think it could have more building, furniture, and clothes and hair options!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm stuck on Chapter 6. Riley needs to invite Mickey to Lead's gym but every time I go through the appropriate call measures it won't let me invite him to the community lot because it doesn't list it as an option too. It just shows the starlight cafe and the other places she goes too. Does anyone know how to make Lead's gym appear in the game so that I can invite him and progress forward?

I thought this game seemed pretty cool. I was happy with it at first - having never played Sims2 before. My sister recently got Sims2 and I am now extremely disappointed with Sims Life Stories. It costs practically the same price and you get much more with Sims2 than Life Stories. I like the story mode on Life Stories but they don't last very long. I also think Life Stories has better wall paper/paint options for buiding a house, besides that I really enjoy Sims2 much better. It offers so much more than Life Stories.
I have been trying to complete this friggin' level for like 2 weeks! I am at the part where I have to invite over Naomi an dAlexa and have a pool party, but everytime I get them in the pool, they get out right away, and the goal is NEVER completed! PLEASE HELP!!! I am desperate!
